As the FP&A Analyst – Capital Allocation & Projects, you’ll be responsible for gathering, integrating, and analyzing financial and operational data to support enterprise decision‑making. You will play a key role in capital expenditure planning and performance management, including costing initiatives, pricing support, capital project monitoring, and macroeconomic and competitive analysis.
What does your typical day look like?
- Provide financial oversight for capital and IT projects by monitoring budgets, timelines, milestones, and post‑implementation performance to ensure expected value realization.
- Support capital allocation decisions through structured investment analyses, including ROI, IRR, financial modeling, and key performance indicators.
- Develop and maintain dynamic costing models to support scenario analysis, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
- Partner with the FP&A team to enhance budgeting, forecasting, planning processes, and improve automation, reporting quality, and data integrity.
- Continuously monitor key business metrics, identify trends or anomalies, and communicate insights to stakeholders across the organization.
- Conduct industry and macroeconomic analyses to inform forecasting assumptions, assess competitiveness, and support short‑ and long‑term strategic planning.
- Respond to ad hoc financial analysis and information requests across business units based on organizational priorities.
What skills and experience are we looking for?
- BBA with concentration in Finance or Accounting or equivalent
- CPA, CFA or progress toward designation considered an asset
- 3-6 years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment analysis or related field
- Strong financial modelling skills
- Experience evaluating capital or IT project investments
- Demonstrated ability to conduct macroeconomic and industry research
- Bilingualism in English and French (mandatory)
- US medical system knowledge, Medicare in particular
- Strong Excel and reporting/database (SQL) and analytical skills
