Position: Industrial Millwright (Industrial Mechanic)
Location: Belleville, Ontario
Compensation: $44.34 per hour + Shift premiums
Shifts: Rotating – Days, Afternoons, and Midnights OR Continental Rotating 12-hour shifts
Overview We’re seeking a skilled Industrial Millwright to join our maintenance and engineering team in Belleville. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting mechanical systems and equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and dismantle machinery and equipment according to layout plans and blueprints.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including lubrication, cleaning, and part replacement.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
- Repair or replace defective parts using appropriate tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Align and calibrate machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders and parts usage.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Industrial Mechanic / Millwright (Red Seal or equivalent) OR 3rd or 4th year apprentice.
- Valid Class G driver’s license (or provincial equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Millwright, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial machinery and systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of occupational safety standards and safe work practices.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and working in confined spaces for extended periods.
- Ability to work at heights and in various environmental conditions.
