About the role
Who says accounting can’t be fun? Our client is on the hunt for an Accounting Manager who is as passionate about numbers as they are about people. Reporting to the CFO, you will be a key member of the team, leading the day-to-day accounting operations, but also ready to pitch in where needed. The successful candidate will be a quick learner who is energetic, well-organized, and attentive to details. Main responsibilities will include:
- Manage a small accounting team while taking the lead on daily accounting operations including A/R, A/P, general ledger, payroll and revenue recognition
- Oversee billing reconciliation, ensuring all purchase orders and vendor invoices are correct
- Produce accurate and timely financial reports and regularly update the executive team
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support the budgeting and forecasting process, continually seeking improvements in financial efficiencies
- Support the internal and external audits by maintaining clean and transparent financial records that meet accounting standards
- Manage corporate insurance, keeping coverage up-to-date and aligned with business goals
- Ad hoc projects and responsibilities as required

Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Post-secondary education in finance and/or accounting
- Completed CPA designation or in progress is an asset
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance
- Previous experience with QuickBooks Online is an asset
- Strong English communication skills
- Proficient in Excel
How You Will Be Rewarded:
- $85,000 – $95,000 salary range
- Hybrid work environment
- 3 weeks’ vacation + 5 personal days
