About the role

Osisko Development Corp.'s ("Osisko Development" or the "Company") wholly-owned subsidiary, Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd, is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to be part of the team at its flagship Project, Cariboo Gold Project, as a Exploration Administrator in Wells BC.
This position will be located at the project in Wells BC. and will be a 5 day on, 2 day off rotation. The employment agreement will be full-time.
Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Exploration, the Exploration Administrator will provide specialized administrative, financial, and logistical support to the exploration team. They will manage exploration budgets, track expenditures, prepare reports, and assist with project scheduling and contractor logistics to ensure efficient, compliant operations.
The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day activities of the team by optimizing productivity in accordance with organizational goals and permit requirements while demonstrating a strong personal commitment to safety and the environment.

###Main Responsibilities

  • Project administration and planning to ensure alignment with regulations and permit conditions- Collaboration with First Nations and other stakeholders during project planning- Lands and permit administration- Preparing Maps, sections and figures in ArcGIS Pro for regulatory submissions- Compiling, auditing, and maintaining datasets for environmental and safety reporting- Contract negotiations and RFP’s- Submitting and tracking of requisitions and purchase orders- Organizing invoices for approval- Organizing timesheets for approval- Managing, scheduling, and providing administrative support for field crews, including booking accommodation in camps or hotels and travel- Coordinating and tracking rental equipment- Vetting, and approving driller and contractor invoices- Arranging field team travel, accommodation, site transportation, and equipment movement.- Ensure all personnel on-site have the necessary safety certifications and adhere to company safety policies

###Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field- Certificate in or proficiency with GIS software and data management- 2–3 years experience in mining or mineral exploration industry- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)- Familiarity with safety regulations (such as Workplace Health and Safety Regulations)- Valid driver’s license is required.

Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd. (BGM) is proposing to construct and operate the Cariboo Gold Project, an underground gold mine and associated infrastructure, in the historic Cariboo Mining District east and southeast of the City of Quesnel. BGM is a Canadian company owned by Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd. The company is based in Wells, BC and headquartered in Toronto, Ontario.

The Cariboo Gold Project includes:

  • an underground mine and associated facilities in and near Wells
  • waste rock storage at Bonanza Ledge mine
  • a new transmission line from Barlow Substation to the mine site
  • use of existing roads to the mine site, Bonanza Ledge mine and QR Mill
  • processing facilities and tailing storage at QR Mill

Once operational, the mine will have a life of 12 to 15 years and will employ an estimated 350 employees plus 50 contractors and consultants. The Project construction workforce will peak at approximately 245 workers in Wells.
