Job Summary:
The Aircraft Parts Clerk is responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing the acquisition of aircraft parts, components, and materials required for maintenance, repair, and operations. This role ensures timely delivery, cost efficiency, and inventory accuracy while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field an asset
  • 2 years in purchasing, preferably in aviation or aerospace
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
  • Winair (Avbase) experience preferred
  • BE20, C560, PC12 and PC24 Experience an asset
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance and parts specifications
  • Familiarity with aviation compliance and safety standards
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • A team player with a positive attitude
  • An equivalent combination of Education and Experience will be considered
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable transportation Security clearances
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Indigenous Awareness and/or Cultural Diversity training considered an asset

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Analyze technical specifications and maintenance requirements to identify suitable parts
  • Prepare and issue accurate purchase orders based on approved requisitions
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations for pricing, specifications, and delivery timelines
  • Identify and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and manufacturers
  • Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic quality audits
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, reorder points, and lead times
  • Track shipments and address delays or issues proactively
  • Ensure all parts meet industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain records of purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and supplier communications
  • Shipping of parts to other bases and shipment of cores/repairs
  • Receiving of parts from vendors, base parts transfers and repairs
  • Issuing of parts for aircraft

Working Conditions:

  • This role is primarily office-based within a fast-paced operations center
  • Rotation Schedule: The hours are 8-hour shifts. Days and evenings, Monday to Friday. Rotational On-Call Weekend requirements
  • Technology use: Frequent use of procurement software, spreadsheets, and Microsoft suits and aviation specific data base
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds. Involves deskwork and some repetitive motion
  • Union Environment: This role operates within a unionized workforce, governed by the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement
