Quality Assurance Tester - Remote, Canada Reporting to the Team Lead, Quality Assurance you will be responsible for designing and building test matrixes and cases for internal applications. You will also be responsible for collaborating with teammates to implement Quality Assurance best practices and ensure quality of software launched into production.

Here Is What a Typical Day Looks Like

  • Participate in daily standup meetings reporting status or blockers
  • Producing test plans
  • Participating in building the test coverage matrix
  • Creating, reviewing, and interpreting requirement documentation to build test cases
  • Identifying candidates for test automation and collaborating with Development team, recording test scripts, performing automated test data set-up and evaluating test results to compare data to expected results
  • Passing or failing test data to ensure release into Production will meet quality standards
  • Logging defects in tracking tool, producing test summaries and status reports
  • Completing test bed creation
  • Identifying any deviations from Quality Assurance processes and bringing forward to the team for decisions
  • Creating high-level work estimations for self and Quality Assurance Tester
  • Identifying, studying, learning and applying knowledge of new Quality Assurance technologies, methodologies and products to evaluate value of new QA/QC technologies to support business objectives and strategy and drive continuous improvement efforts
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure requirements and deliverables are consistent with expectations or deadlines.

The value you bring

  • Proven experience working as a QA tester
  • Certified Software Test Professional-Practitioner certification an asset
  • History of analyzing & investigating, general business awareness, decision making ability, and problem solving
  • Post secondary diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field an asset
  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies
