About The Role

The Local Advanced Support Engineer at Socomec Sas plays a vital role in maintaining the operational integrity and reliability of high-stakes electrical power systems. This position involves providing expert technical support, troubleshooting complex issues, and assisting in operational recovery and system commissioning. As a frontline technical interface, you will work closely with field technicians, customers, and internal teams to ensure that mission-critical systems are functioning optimally and any technical challenges are addressed promptly and efficiently. Your expertise will directly impact the stability and performance of critical power infrastructure, supporting Socomec’s mission to deliver dependable solutions to its clients.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a strong background in electrical engineering or a related technical field, with significant experience working with mission-critical power systems. Advanced troubleshooting skills are essential, particularly in complex and high-pressure environments. Familiarity with uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, battery management, and system commissioning is required. Excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively coordinate during escalated operational events and to convey technical information clearly. Willingness and ability to travel as needed, including support during after-hours and emergency situations, are also important qualifications for this role.

Responsibilities

Provide remote troubleshooting and operational assessment for critical power systems, ensuring rapid diagnosis and resolution of issues. Support advanced commissioning activities and assist in operational recovery efforts to restore system functionality swiftly. Coordinate escalation efforts between field personnel, technical teams, and leadership to facilitate effective problem resolution. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including service reports, feedback, and system configurations, to support ongoing operational improvements. Reinforce adherence to approved procedures, safety standards, and operational protocols to ensure consistent service quality. Participate in on-site support and troubleshooting during critical events, including after-hours and emergency situations. Stay updated with the latest technological developments and industry best practices related to power management systems. Assist in training and mentoring junior support staff to enhance team capability and knowledge sharing.
