We are seeking an Analyst to join our Finance Transformation team to support initiatives that enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and governance of financial processes. This role will be hands-on, focusing on reporting activities and finance transformation projects while ensuring compliance with IFRS/JGAAP and internal control requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
Reporting
- Prepare monthly and quarterly regulatory and head office financial reports in compliance with IFRS and JGAAP within established deadlines.
- Perform month-end reconciliation processes and journal entry bookings.
- Support monthly managerial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls by preparing and maintaining accurate and detailed operational procedure documentations.
Projects
- Participate in the execution of company and department-wide initiatives to drive automation and process improvements.
- Support change management and adoption of new tools, systems, and policies.
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions and document business needs for system and process changes.
- Execute user acceptance testing (UAT), document results, and work with technology teams to resolve issues.
- Assist in post-implementation activities such as monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, providing end-user support and conducting regression testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation or near completion of CPA program
- Previous experience in accounting, banking, and/or securities with exposure to financial reporting/preparation/reconciliation in either public or private accounting
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and VBA
- Experience with Power BI and Python is a plus
- Exposure to Oracle accounting software is a plus
