About the role

Rush Truck Centres of Canada is a part of Rush Enterprises, the largest commercial vehicle dealership group in North America. Reporting to the Business Manager, the Leasing Warranty Administrator is responsible for managing the administrative aspects of warranty claims and processes for leased equipment, vehicles, or assets. This role ensures that all warranty claims are accurately documented, submitted, and tracked, in compliance with vendor and manufacturer agreements.

Responsibilites

  • Administer warranty claims for leased assets, ensuring accurate and timely submission to manufacturers or vendors.
  • Maintain detailed records of all warranty claims, including approvals, denials, repairs, and associated costs.
  • Ensure all warranty-related documentation is properly maintained and updated in the warranty management system.
  • Keep accurate records of asset history, including warranty coverage, repairs, and claims.
  • Communicate with manufacturers and vendors to facilitate the warranty claim process.
  • Ensure all warranty-related repairs are completed according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and within the terms of the warranty.
  • Provide support to lessees by explaining warranty coverage and claim processes when necessary.
  • Lead and deliver warranty process training (in person and/or remotely) to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistent execution.
  • Conduct and document quarterly warranty reviews to maximize recovery; analyze results to identify risks and improvement areas, and implement targeted training as needed.
  • Participate in company-wide training initiatives or events annually, based on business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company’s Health and Safety Policy
  • Other related duties as assigned by management from time to time.

Other Responsibilities

  • Familiarity with leasing operations and warranty processes in industries such as automotive, equipment rental, or industrial machinery.
  • Knowledge of manufacturer warranty terms and claim processing systems.
  • Experience in data entry, record keeping, and generating reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors, manufacturers, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in warranty management systems, ERP systems, or similar software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Basic Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • College or university bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
    • Minimum 1-year experience in warranty administration, leasing operations, or customer service, preferably in an equipment, automotive, or machinery leasing environment.
    • Consideration is given to relevant experience and related certification.
    • Previous experience in Heavy Truck, Automotive or related industry experience preferred.
    • Competency in accuracy with good time management and organizational skills.
    • The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Warranty Experience is preferred.
    • SAP experience is an asset
    • Criminal Record Check.
    • Valid driver’s license and Drivers Abstract.
