Sonographer – In‑Person / Diagnostic Imaging Location: Northern British Columbia (Multiple Acute Care Hospitals) Professional Summary Seeking qualified Sonographers to deliver high-quality ultrasound imaging across acute care settings in Northern BC, ensuring patient safety, accuracy, and clinical excellence in diverse environments.
Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures as per physician orders Ensure patient safety, positioning, and imaging quality Review requisitions, patient ID, and clinical history Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams Maintain accurate documentation in imaging systems Follow infection control and regulatory standards
Requirements ✔ Accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program ✔ Registered with Sonography Canada / BC regulatory body ✔ Experience preferred (new grads considered) ✔ Strong knowledge of ultrasound protocols & patient care ✔ Excellent communication and adaptability ✔ Ability to work in fast-paced / rural settings
