About the role

The successful candidate contributes to our key projects as a member of our Integration, Test, and Evaluation (IT&E) Cross Product Team (CPT) as follows:

  • Support functional testing of combat system software
  • Support regression testing of combat system software.
  • Develop test plans and procedures to verify software requirements in an Agile environment (DOORS/Jira/Redmine)
  • Develop and execute tests using the Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) Automated Test Tool (Python/Linux)
  • Document, assess, and test deficiencies using the Lockheed Martin defect tracking tool
  • Participate in Release and Sprint planning, as required

What you bring to the role

  • Proceeding in a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or related engineering discipline
  • Willing to support scheduling including evenings and weekends, as required
  • Aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment
  • High degree of initiative and autonomy
  • Able to obtain North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret security clearance in a timely manner.

Additional skills desired for the role

  • Software test automation experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with Linux
  • Familiarity with BASH and Python
  • Familiarity with Subversion and/or Git
  • Familiarity with Java and C++ is considered an asset
  • Familiarity with Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) is considered an asset
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodology is considered an asset
