Job Description

The Opportunity

Reitmans (Canada) Limited is reimagining how a 100-year-old Canadian fashion icon operates for the next century. The Office of the CEO is at the center of this transformation, turning big ideas into actionable plans that drive enterprise-wide impact. As Manager, Strategic Initiatives, you will manage and operationalize enterprise-level initiatives that touch every part of the business, working closely with the Chief of Staff, CEO, and senior leadership to lead cross-functional projects, connect strategy to execution, and build momentum on initiatives that shape the future of the company.

What You’ll Do:

Lead Strategic Projects

  • Drive high-impact, cross-functional initiatives (brand strategy, business transformation, systems modernization).
  • Translate big goals into structured plans with clear milestones, ownership, and accountability.
  • Manage project workbacks, risks, and dependencies to ensure timely execution.

Run Executive Rhythms

  • Support Quarterly Business Reviews, leadership offsites, and town halls.
  • Develop concise, executive-ready materials that simplify complex topics into actionable insights.

Bridge Strategy and Execution

  • Translate strategic objectives into clear steps, KPIs, and timelines.
  • Align financial goals with operational execution, ensuring priorities are grounded in business reality.

Partner Across Business

  • Collaborate with Transformation, FP&A, PMO, and Brand/Functional leads to align initiatives.

  • Act as a connector across teams—clarifying ownership, surfacing gaps, and ensuring follow-through.

  • Provide light research and analysis (5–10%) to support enterprise decisions.

Qualifications

Who you are:

  • University degree in Commerce, Management, or an equivalent field of study; Lean Six Sigma certification is considered an asset.

  • 5+ years in consulting, corporate strategy, transformation, or strategic operations (retail, professional services, consumer goods, or tech preferred).

  • Strategic thinker who thrives on connecting vision to execution.

  • Strong financial and business acumen—comfortable in both spreadsheets and strategy sessions.

  • Skilled relationship-builder with a talent for simplifying complex ideas.

  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and modern project management tools (Smartsheet, Asana, Jira).

  • Bilingual
