Sun Peaks Resort is seeking a Seasonal Golf Maintenance Lead Hand to ensure that the golf course maintains pristine condition and provides guests with an exceptional golfing experience. Compensation Information: $22.45 per hour (this updated wage is effective May 01, 2026)

Physical Requirement: Heavy; work activities involve handling loads up to 35kg; predominantly in an outdoor setting.

Skills You Bring With You

  • 2 years’ previous experience working on a golf course or landscaping.
  • Must possess and submit a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be in good physical condition, able to lift heavy objects, do manual and all types of labour and willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must be familiar with WorkSafeBC and WHMIS regulations.
  • Must play and enjoy the sport of golf.
  • Willing and able to work very early shifts and supervise other.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Recognize that your safety, the safety of your fellow workers and the safety of the general public is your number one job responsibility.
  • Preparing and upgrading the golf course for summer play.
  • Lead team in the absents of the Superintendent or the Assistant Superintendent.
  • Assist in training and performance monitoring.
  • Operation of designated golf course maintenance equipment and monitor its performance.
  • Learn to recognize turf grass disease symptoms.
  • Mowing turf, bunker maintenance, and garbage collection.
  • Keep the golf course clean and free of debris.
  • Learn to work through the golfing public safely and with minimal disruption in play.
  • Always watch for potential hazards to yourself, your co-workers and the general public and report them to your supervisor.
  • Treat the golfing public with courtesy and respect.
  • Always wear PPE that is required for different job circumstances.
