Job title: Analyst (Technology Management) (Replacement)

Description

Reporting to the Director of Information Systems and Technology, the analyst in technology management acts as a liaison between IT and other sectors in the organization. The analyst has a deep understanding of IT functions as well as the skills to effectively communicate with multiple organizational units to understand their technological needs. The analyst is a main point of contact between IT, HR, Finance, and the academic departments that rely heavily on technology. This position will be key in helping the organization in its “drive towards collaboration and a culture of creativity, innovation and value”.

More specifically, but not limited to, the analyst will maximize delivery of the following:

Think strategically by partnering with technical analysts to develop and maintain multi-year organization capability roadmaps; Advocates for a focus on and awareness of organizational partners’ strategic plans; At the department level, coordinate the implementation of the delivery roadmap schedule and perform accurate budgeting and forecasting; Lead the delivery of the complex governmental reporting and audit planning; Partner with organizational leadership to plan new joint initiatives, evaluate proposals, and determine how they fit into the organization’s capability roadmaps and priorities; Establish communication processes and channels across organizational functions; Strongly promote a focus on change management and process improvement rather than technology to develop ideas, including digital awareness, risk assessments, organization continuity, and organizational capability requirements; Coach organization leaders and enable them to articulate their function’s needs and requirements that will advance delivery of value added initiatives. Coorelate organizational value and priorities to planning activities and delivery schedule; Ensure that delivery staff are knowledgeable about the organizational partner and their objectives; engage as a stakeholder, including evaluating project efforts and progress against joint strategic plans and objectives; Be creative and innovative with regards to your knowledge and awareness of industry trends and digital advances as they relate to new opportunities and organizational needs; Measure and communicate organizational value realized with the organizational partner on a periodic basis Oversee the definition and evolution of the service catalogue.

Other related tasks which fall within the scope of the classification of this position may be assigned.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (35 hours per week) – with schedule flexibility when necessary.

Contract: A.S.A.P. until the return of the incumbent to their position.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in an appropriate field of specialization, particularly Computer Science, Administration/Technology, Business Technology Management or equivalent.

Conditions Related To The Specific Position

At least five (5) years of experience facilitating the development and prioritization of business initiatives and projects, based on management objectives; Advanced Excel skills (including programming); Experience with Microsoft Power Platform including Power Automate; Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and develop solutions; Demonstrated ability to work independently and with groups; Strong knowledge of the Cégep system and programs; Strong capacity to analyze and synthesize; Strong ability to plan, coordinate, and implement multiple projects simultaneously and work to meet competing deadlines; Strong interpersonal and organizational competencies; Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively; Strong English oral and written communication skills (to be tested); Strong French oral and written communication skills (to be tested); Experience in the Education sector an asset.
