Job description:

 Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for a GIS Application Specialist to join our Professional Services team in the Pacific Region.

Reporting to the Professional Services Manager, Pacific Region, this role is focused on implementing ArcGIS technology across a range of markets in BC and Yukon. You will leverage your consulting and technical experience with ArcGIS Enterprise/Online to scope opportunities and provide technical input for proposals. You will work with project managers, solution architects and developers to build solutions and deliver value to customers.

This role will be based remotely in the Pacific region of Canada.

A Day in the Life of a GIS Application Specialist at Esri Canada:

  • Lead technical role; scoping new opportunities and preparation of proposals e.g. RFPs
  • Build, test, document and provide training for configurable or customized solutions using ArcGIS and related technology.
  • Review and document customer requirements and identify appropriate solution options.
  • Work closely with project team members including developers, solution architects to manage client expectations and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Ensure the smooth delivery of assigned tasks as specified in the project plan.
  • Contribute to the development of project plans for assigned projects.
  • Work directly with customers through participation in workshops, solution demonstrations and project status meetings
  • Advocate for the successful use of ArcGIS technology in customer environments
  • Proactively pursue self-instruction on all relevant technical topics

What you bring to the team:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working with ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise and Online
  • Intermediate level experience with 3 or more of; ArcGIS Experience Builder, Dashboards, Field Maps, Survey123, Python scripting
  • Ability to attain Esri technical certification within 4 months
  • Optional experience working within the BC natural resources sector including commercial forestry
  • University degree in GIS, geomatics, engineering or equivalent education and experience
  • Optional Esri technical certification
  • Optional professional certification e,g business analysis, project management

Compensation & Benefits:

At Esri Canada, we are committed to fair and competitive compensation. This role offers a base salary range of $84,900 to $98,000 annually, determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
