Job Description
Staff Housing Attendant
At Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, an exceptional guest experience begins with an exceptional colleague experience. As a Staff Housing Attendant you will be responsible for ensuring our colleague accommodations are maintained on a daily basis and ready for when colleagues move in.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
Starting Rate of Pay: $22.70 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $31.25.
Job Duties Include
Maintain and clean colleague housing units and common areas Complete inspections (pre-arrival, departure, quarterly) and preventative maintenance tasks Carry out minor repairs (painting, plumbing, carpentry, etc.) and respond to maintenance requests Support stock control and ordering of housing supplies Assist with housing operations, tenant support, and policy compliance Monitor emergency housing phone and respond to incidents, including fire alarms Assist with renovation projects, furniture assembly, and appliance changes Perform seasonal duties (snow removal in winter, landscaping in summer) Maintain high health & safety and customer service standards
Qualifications
Maintenance, cleaning, or similar experience preferred General handyperson skills are an asset Valid BC Driver’s License required (comfortable driving in winter conditions) Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset Able to work independently Physically fit; able to lift up to 70 lbs
