Job Summary
The Food Service Worker is responsible for providing food service to students, staff, and visitors in a variety of settings. This includes preparing and serving food, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and providing excellent customer service.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of food service areas.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in food service or a related field.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Food Handler Certification.
- Experience working in a university or college environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Other Relevant Details
- This position requires the ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed.
