Hardware Compliance Specialist, Lead – Onsite Position

Salary Range: $90,300 - $140,000 plus bonus opportunity

Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.
Your Challenge:
- Become a key contributing member of the design team to meet EMI/EMC goals on Curtiss-Wright products.
- Analyze requirements, provide compliance review and identify risk.
- Establish internal lab capabilities to de-risk designs for formal compliance testing.
- Perform de-risking activities, may be internal or offsite.
- Coordinate and witness formal compliance activities, typically at external offsite laboratories.
- Provide input to design and reviews in support of successful compliance.
- Generate reports to capture tests performed and summarize results.
- Participate in maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere within the team.
What you Bring:
-
Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.

8+ years of compliance experience providing design guidance, and hands on lab testing for products that meet relevant standards in Industrial, MIL, or Aerospace electronic design.

Works directly with the design teams to achieve designs optimized for EMI/EMC performance targeting signal filtering, grounding, mechanical chassis features for best design practice.

A strong understanding and familiarity with relevant industry standards which include:
- EMI/C to MIL-STD-461 and DO-160
- Power Supply Performance to MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275 and DO-160
- Laboratory Equipment: Spectrum Analyzers, LISN, Oscilloscopes, Antennas, Power Supplies
- Cable design and assembly techniques for EMI/C

Experience/familiarity in the following is an asset:
- Thermal, Vibration and Environmental to MIL-STD-810 and DO-160
- EMI/C to EN61000 and/or CISPR
- EM Emissions SDIP/TEMPEST

A hands-on approach to measurement, debug and problem solving.

A driven and motivated self-starter with a keen interest to learn.

A strong understanding of electronics and engineering principals and application to real world use.

A strong sense of responsibility, commitment to quality and achieving deadlines.

Excellent written and written communication skills.
