YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Support the Cable Bolter Leader in the following:

• Operate bogey drill installed on a scissor deck equipment;
• Operate an air grout pump;
• Move and install drills following set drill patterns;
• Drill holes, install and grout cables according to engineering drawings and specifications;
• Perform daily equipment inspection;
• Inspect working environment by scaling rocks;
• Ensure health and safety requirements are met;
• Operate other equipment associated with the production category, as required;
• Obtain certification on other equipment associated to the production category, as required;
• Any other duties required by the supervisor.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Proven experience in cable bolt installation and grouting an asset;

• Minimum of 2000 hours of experience on bolter equipment;

• High School Diploma;

• NAC Certification or DEP in Mineral Extraction, or equivalent;

• Underground certification or equivalent, such as Mining Modules and Common Core;

• Mining engineering plan reading skills an asset;

• Valid approval letter under the explosives regulations or equivalent, such as explosive permit;

• Possess the physical requirements to perform the job;

• Possess a good work ethic, a positive attitude and the ability to work in a team;

• Experience working in a multicultural environment;

• Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (oral and written);

• Position reserved for Inuit Beneficiary candidates.
