Our state‑of‑the‑art recording studio offers professional audio, video, and podcast production tools designed to help members bring their ideas to life with confidence. We are seeking a Studio Experience Technician who can deliver both technical excellence and a welcoming, supportive environment for creators of all experience levels.
Role Overview
The Studio Experience Technician is responsible for on‑site support, studio setup, equipment operation, troubleshooting and member guidance during content creation sessions. This role blends AV expertise, video editing, post production support and member experience, ensuring every creator feels confident, supported, and ready to produce high‑quality content. This is a contract position with a $25-$45 hourly compensation based on studio bookings.
Key ResponsibilitiesStudio Operations & Technical Support
Manage the setup, operation, and takedown of studio equipment, including 4K cameras, lighting, microphones, and audio interfaces, while conducting pre‑ and post‑session testing to ensure optimal recording quality. Provide real‑time troubleshooting for audio, video, lighting, and software issues. Ensure the studio environment remains professional, organized, and optimized for recording. Operate multi‑camera setups during live content recording to ensure smooth, continuous capture (where applicable) Perform video editing or post‑production tasks as required for member packages.
Member Support & Creator Guidance
Welcome members into the studio and create a comfortable, confidence‑boosting environment.
Assist members with content creation questions
Guide new creators through the recording process, helping them feel at ease with equipment and workflow. Offer best practices for podcasting, filming educational content, and promotional video creation. Maintain a supportive, professional presence throughout each session.
Scheduling & Communication
Coordinate with the Empowered 4x team to prepare the studio for upcoming bookings. Manage appointment punctuality, session timing, and member flow. Communicate clearly and consistently with internal staff regarding studio availability, equipment needs, and member concerns. Ensure all recordings, raw footage, and edited deliverables are completed within expected timelines.
Equipment Care & Space Management
Manage equipment condition and perform pre- and post-session testing to ensure optimal recording quality. Keep the studio clean, organized, and ready for use at all times. Ensure lighting, soundproofing, and backdrops are properly set for each session.
Education & Training Requirements
Diploma or certificate in Audio/Video Production, Digital Media, Broadcasting, Film, or a related field (preferred but not required). Equivalent experience in studio operations, content creation, podcast production, or AV support will be accepted in place of formal education. Training or familiarity with camera operation, lighting setups, microphone techniques, and recording software Additional workshops, short courses, or self‑directed learning in content creation, editing, or studio technology are considered an asset.
Qualifications
A minimum 2 years of experience in AV production, studio operations, or video content creation. Proficiency with cameras (1080p–4K), lighting setups, microphones, and recording software.
Basic video editing experience
Strong communication skills and a welcoming, member‑focused personality. Ability to troubleshoot calmly and efficiently. Reliable, punctual, and comfortable managing multiple bookings. Experience supporting creators, podcasters, or entrepreneurs is an asset.
Contract Details
Contract position with a $25-$45/hr compensation based on studio bookings. Must be available for on‑site sessions at Empowered 4X Brampton. Flexible scheduling with priority given to member bookings and studio demand. Reports to: Client Relationship Specialist (on‑site), who serves as the primary point of contact for member experience and studio coordination.

Members feel supported, confident, and excited to create. Studio sessions run smoothly with minimal technical interruptions. Clear communication with the E4X team ensures seamless operations. The studio remains a polished, professional, immersive environment.
