About the role
The Inside Sales Representative role at Weston Forest is a developmental commercial role designed to build our next generation of Account Executives . This position is intended for ambitious, commercially curious individuals who want to build a long-term career in B2B sales and are motivated to learn the business from the ground up before progressing into an outside sales role.
This role provides hands-on exposure to Weston Forest’s products, inventory, customers, systems, and sales process. Inside Sales Representatives support quoting and order execution, manage relationships with smaller and developing customers, and actively contribute to business development through outbound sales activity and customer growth initiatives.
This is not simply a transactional inside sales role — it is a foundational commercial role designed for individuals who want to understand how the business truly works, build credibility, and develop the skills required to succeed as a future Account Executive .
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Learn the Business
- Develop a strong understanding of Weston Forest’s product portfolio, including lumber, panels, packaging, and value-added services
- Learn how inventory is sourced, managed, priced, and delivered
- Understand how operations, supply chain, and sales work together to serve customers
- Gain exposure to the commercial drivers that impact customer decisions, profitability, and growth
Quoting & Order Execution
- Prepare accurate and timely quotes for customers
- Enter and manage sales orders with attention to detail and follow-through
- Coordinate with operations and logistics to ensure customer expectations are met
- Learn how strong execution contributes to long-term customer relationships
Customer Management & Growth
- Manage a book of smaller and developing customer accounts
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers
- Identify opportunities to increase share of wallet and expand relationships
- Build trust and credibility through responsiveness, problem-solving, and follow-through
Outbound Sales & Business Development
- Make proactive outbound calls to new and existing customers
- Prospect and qualify new opportunities within defined customer segments
- Support broader sales initiatives by uncovering leads and identifying growth opportunities
- Develop confidence initiating conversations and creating customer engagement
Sales Development

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred

Early-career or developing sales experience in B2B, industrial, or customer-facing environments preferred

Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools

Prior exposure to building materials, manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments is considered an asset, not a requirement
WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Full-time, onsite role based in Brampton and/or operational facilities

Regular interaction with manufacturing, warehouse, and yard environments

Occasional travel to customer sites, facilities, trade shows, and industry events
