##Receptionist

##Mission

##Reporting to on‑site Management, the Receptionist is responsible for responding to all incoming calls, greeting and directing visitors, and answering inquiries in a positive and professional manner that reflects the values of Extendicare.

##Key Responsibilities

  • ##Answer all incoming calls and respond to inquiries in a positive, professional manner
  • ##Redirect calls as appropriate and take clear, concise messages when needed
  • ##Greet, assist, and direct all visitors
  • ##Pick up and sort internal mail
  • ##Stamp, deliver, and maintain mail machine for external mail
  • ##Prepare packages and arrange courier pick-up
  • ##Coordinate meeting room schedules and bookings
  • ##Update phone lists and distribution lists
  • ##Maintain a clean, safe, fully stocked, and well-organized reception area
  • ##Assist with small administrative projects (e.g., labels, bulk mailing)
  • ##Complete other duties as assigned
  • ##Uphold and promote Extendicare’s values, ethics, morality, and integrity as outlined in the Code of Conduct

##Qualifications

  • ##Above‑average interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • ##Previous reception experience is an asset
  • ##Professional and polished telephone manner
  • ##Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • ##Highly organized and detail oriented
  • ##Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
