Cascadia Metals is seeking an Admin Assistant in our Health and Safety Department. This role will support the Health and Safety Manager, focusing on document preparation, recordkeeping, scheduling, and maintaining safety- related documentation and records. This position is strictly administrative and supports the coordination and organization of the safety program and activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain training records and certification tracking.
- Perform data entry related to incident reports and other safety documentation.
- Assist with preparing and organizing safety reports and audit documentation.
- Schedule safety training and safety committee meetings.
- Record and distribute meeting minutes.
- Maintain document control for safety procedures, SOPs, and safety bulletins.
- Assist with departmental communications and administrative coordination.
- Provide general administrative support to the HealthSafety Manager.
- Other administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience in preparing documents and maintaining records.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple administrative tasks.
- Familiarity with health and safety documentation or navigating regulatory websites (e.g., WorkSafe) is an asset.
