Role: Quality Engineer - Mobile Automation Location: Toronto, ON Type: Contract Rate: CAD45/hr - CAD55/hr

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Quality Engineer with strong expertise in Mobile Automation Testing to join a high-performing Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and implementing scalable test automation solutions for mobile applications, ensuring product quality across iOS and Android platforms. This role requires a proactive professional who can independently drive test strategy, automation initiatives, and quality assurance best practices.

Key Responsibilities Lead and execute end-to-end mobile automation testing for iOS and Android applications. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, TypeScript, and WebdriverIO. Build, enhance, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for mobile and web applications. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC. Define test strategies, automation approaches, and risk mitigation plans for complex projects. Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues. Ensure test coverage across functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing scenarios. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and quality engineering best practices. Participate in Agile ceremonies and support rapid, high-quality software delivery.

Required Skills & Experience 7+ years of overall experience in Test Automation. 4+ years of hands-on experience in Mobile Automation Testing. Strong expertise in: Selenium TypeScript WebdriverIO framework Solid understanding of mobile testing concepts, including: Mobile devices and operating systems OS fragmentation Emulators and simulators Proven ability to make independent decisions regarding: Test strategy Automation approach Risk assessment and mitigation Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience working in cross-functional Agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications Experience within the Banking or Financial Services domain. Exposure to API testing and backend validation. Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern test automation practices.
