Job Title: Store Associate
Reports to: Restaurant Manager
The Store Associate is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience while supporting all aspects of restaurant operations. This role is fully cross-trained and may work in any area of the restaurant, including guest service, food preparation, cash handling, inventory support, cleaning, and operational duties. Store Associates are expected to maintain company standards for food quality, cleanliness, safety, and hospitality while contributing to the overall success of the restaurant.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Guest Service
- Greet and serve guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take guest orders accurately and efficiently.
- Provide menu recommendations and answer guest questions.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when required.
- Promote current offers and initiatives when appropriate.
Food Preparation and Production
- Prepare and assemble menu items according to company recipes and standards.
- Complete food preparation duties as assigned.
- Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion control standards.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
Cash Handling and POS Operations
- Process guest transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Follow company cash handling and security procedures.
- Ensure accuracy in all transactions and operational records.
Restaurant Operations
- Assist with opening, closing, and daily operational procedures.
- Restock food, packaging, beverages, and restaurant supplies.
- Support with receiving and organizing deliveries, stock rotation, and product organization.
Cleaning, Safety, and Compliance
- Maintain cleanliness throughout all restaurant areas.
- Complete assigned cleaning and sanitation duties.
- Follow all health, safety, food safety, and company policies.
- Report safety concerns and operational issues to management.
Teamwork and Professionalism
- Work collaboratively with team members and management.
- Participate in all required training programs.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance.
- Represent Fat Bastard Burrito in a professional manner at all times.
WORK CONDITIONS
- Extended periods of standing and walking.
- Ability to lift up to 15 kg (33 lbs).
- Fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Frequent interaction with guests and team members.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience is an asset but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to guest service.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
