Job Synopsis
This position is responsible for keeping up with inventory flow in a fast-paced, high-capacity setting. This position works alongside staff and volunteers receiving and processing donations of goods at the receiving door. This position will work closely with the Manager and Production Coordinator to maintain a flow of goods. This position is required to work Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities
Retail Area:
-
Cash register responsibilities i.e. – solving cash register problems and debit errors, cashing out end of day, end of month,
-
Supervise and give directions to volunteers, retail floor staff and provide basic training at cash. Taking on Management responsibilities when necessary.

Consult with the Leadership regarding cleaning to be done, concerns the volunteers or staff might bring to them and other needs as they arise,
-
Ensure compliance with safety standards,
-
Attend meetings and events as required,
-
Assist customers i.e. – answer questions, sell furniture, hold items,
-
Keep shop clean and orderly,
-
Ensure shop is well stocked – clothes, household, shoes, furniture, linens etc. Pricing and displaying of these items as deemed necessary.

Greet customers, provide customer service by explaining the mission of MCC, helping customers find products, listening to customer concerns and referring those concerns to the Leadership Team, when necessary,
-
Open and close shop - (making sure signs on, doors locked/unlocked, customers gone). In charge of key for opening/closing of the shop and arming/disarming the building, when requested,
-
Ensure sale signs follow MCC branding standards, are updated, posted as needed,
-
And any other duties as assigned from time to time,
Production Area:
- Sorting product received from the Donation Centre,
- transferring product between donation center and shop,
- Pricing items and assisting volunteers with pricing questions,
- Assist volunteers in ensuring quality standards per Leadership guidelines,
- Communicate to Leadership the product needs in the sorting area,
- Ensure pricing and sorting supplies are stocked, communicating to the Leadership the needs for supplies as needed,
- Work with Leadership in assessing procedures and efficiencies with the goal of increasing productivity and maximizing productivity,
- Help Leadership in the establishment of product processing targets.

Base salary: $18.86

Lethbridge is the commercial, financial, transportation and industrial center of southern Alberta. The city's economy developed from drift mining for coal in the late 19th century and agriculture in the early 20th century.
