What will your typical day look like? As a Manager, Learning Advisory and Special Projects, you will work closely with the Senior Manager, Learning Advisory, and Tax & Legal business leaders to implement the Learning & Development (L&D) strategy for the practice—supporting the development and targeted upskilling of professionals at every level. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work on national Tax & Legal initiatives through special projects.
You will act as a strategic advisor, leveraging your expertise to:
- Influence learning priorities and decisions aligned with business goals
- Shape technical learning solutions that meet regulatory and market demands
- Provide guidance on L&D best practices, budget planning, and external learning policies
- Connect leaders with global and national learning resources tailored to individual and team needs
- Liaise with external learning vendors such as CPA Canada to coordinate promotion and registration of relevant courses
- Assist with tracking and interpreting learning data to be reported to leaders
- Use technology tools and platforms to help business create and deliver digital/e-learning solutions
- Support and deliver special national Tax & Legal initiatives
You will also collaborate with the Deloitte University team on program management and delivery, including participant and faculty coordination, communication plans, budgeting, and vendor engagement.
Success in this role depends on your ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and drive learning outcomes that support the evolving needs of the Tax & Legal Practice.

- Demonstrated ability to influence and advise senior/executive-level stakeholders
- Strong operational capabilities including budget management, project and program execution
- Experience designing and/or delivering leadership and technical development programs
- Passion for shaping the growth and development of professionals, bringing a growth mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, delivering key messages with clarity and poise
- Manage multiple projects at once, demonstrating strong organizational and project management skills while consistently delivering results.
- Due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients, English is required for this position
- Travel may be required if residing outside of the GTA
Strong Asset:
- 5+ years’ experience in learning and development or a related field, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Education, Business, Psychology, or related discipline
Total Rewards The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $140,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
