We are seeking an empathetic and skilled individual to provide trauma-informed, client-centered care to individuals navigating mental health and substance use challenges. As a crucial member of our team, you will work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with professionals from diverse disciplines to ensure comprehensive care. The ideal candidate will have experience working in mental health and addictions settings, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be committed to cultural safety.

- Diploma or certificate in the following areas: Health Care Aid, Nursing Assistant, Nursing Home Attendant, or Addictions. Other diplomas or certificates in a related health care field may be considered
- Experience providing intake assessments
- Experience working with clients experiencing behavioral challenges in a psychosocial framework (i.e. groups, 1:1)
- Experience with de-escalation and/or conflict management with clients
- Experience with documentation and/or record management
Candidates who have a combination of education, training and experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

- Cleaning duties that include lifting laundry bags (over 20 kg), laundry, mopping and bending
- There is a high degree of emotional stress caused by dealing regularly with situations of loss, crisis, complex trauma, mental illness, and unpredictable behaviour
- Direct contact with clients including those who may be upset, aggressive, intoxicated, cognitively impaired, or suicidal, which poses the potential risk of physical and emotional harm from these clients
