Job Description What is the Opportunity? The position is responsible for the planning and successful delivery of a mission-critical credit card product launch initiative—a complex, multi-departmental program with substantial interdependencies spanning product development, data architecture, regulatory compliance, marketing, operations, and technology infrastructure. Leading a matrixed team of data engineers, analysts, compliance specialists, and operational stakeholders, you will establish enterprise-wide governance structures and delivery frameworks to coordinate complex data requirements across multiple systems and business units. Success will be measured by on-time, on-budget delivery that meets quality, data integrity, and regulatory requirements while minimizing operational and reputational risk. What Will You Do? Lead enterprise data strategy & integration: Manage complex data flows, mapping requirements across cardholder databases, transaction systems, fraud detection platforms, and analytics frameworks; ensure data consistency, security, and compliance across all integrated systems Direct end-to-end program delivery: Independently manage the credit card launch from concept through go-live, coordinating design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare phases across technology, operations, and business functions Manage critical interdependencies: Identify, track, and resolve cross-functional dependencies between data provisioning, systems integration, regulatory approvals, and operational readiness; develop mitigation strategies for data-related bottlenecks Establish governance & controls: Design comprehensive program governance, including steering committees, data governance councils, change control processes, and risk escalation protocols aligned with enterprise standards Drive data requirements management: Work with subject matter experts to capture, validate, and manage complex data specifications; coordinate data quality assurance, testing protocols, and legacy system migration planning Manage complex budgets & resources: Monitor multi-million-dollar program budgets, coordinate cross-functional resource allocation, and manage vendor/third-party relationships for data services and technology partners Perform advanced risk management: Conduct rigorous data risk assessments, identify integration failure points, regulatory gaps, and operational vulnerabilities; develop contingency plans addressing data integrity, security, and compliance risks Provide executive visibility: Create sophisticated reporting dashboards, executive briefing decks, and stakeholder communications that translate complex technical and data challenges into clear business impact narratives Lead through influence: Interface with C-suite executives, regulators, and external partners; manage stakeholder expectations and drive alignment across competing priorities Champion best practices: Apply agile and waterfall methodologies as appropriate; mentor teams on data governance, project management discipline, and operational excellence What Do You Need to Succeed? Must Haves: Minimum 7 years' experience managing complex, multi-phase programs with cross-functional dependencies; demonstrated success leading initiatives with 50+ team members across multiple departments Minimum 3 years' experience managing technology/data integration projects involving system interconnectivity, data architecture, or platform launches Proven expertise in data requirements management, data governance frameworks, and managing complex data integration challenges in regulated environments Advanced proficiency with MS Project, PowerPoint, SQL or data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI); ability to create sophisticated project plans, data flow diagrams, and technical documentation Expert-level financial and stakeholder management skills; experience presenting to executive leadership and regulatory bodies Exceptional analytical capabilities with demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data requirements and communicate technical interdependencies to non-technical audiences Nice to Haves: 3+ years' experience in financial services, banking, or payments with knowledge of card products, regulatory frameworks (GLBA, PCI-DSS, GDPR), and financial system architecture Experience with data warehousing, API management, or cloud-based data platform migrations Familiarity with credit card processing systems, fraud detection platforms, or financial transaction networks Experience managing multi-vendor technology integrations or outsourced data services Agile Scrum Master or SAFe Program Consultant certification What’s in it for you?
