Hours: Mondays to Fridays, 5:30am – finish. With occasional weekends and holiday shifts as required.
Compensation: $75,000 - $79,000 per annum

Summary:
The Route Supervisor is responsible for managing and optimizing collection routes, ensuring timely residential curbside material collection in the London contract. Key duties include scheduling routes, modifying collection maps, supervising staff, conducting safety investigations, tracking productivity, and fostering team collaboration. The role requires effective communication with municipal staff, coaching drivers, maintaining safety standards, and promoting excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
In the position of Route Supervisor your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Schedule routes; create and modify collection maps and areas.
- Hold regular meetings with your staff for morning start up’s.
- Attend all accidents and property damage incidents, fill out accident investigation reports and issue progressive discipline when required.
- Enter daily productivity statistics and discuss results with drivers as well as record and time keeping.
- Ensuring the timely collection of residential curbside materials in the London contract.
- Effective at team building, while encouraging excellent customer service.
- Lead and act as the primary line of communication and contact with various levels of Municipal staff members.
- Provide coaching and training for drivers failing to meet minimum service agreement.
- Demonstrate compassion and understanding of employee needs and build positive relations.
- Ensure safety and operational standards are being met.
- Other duties and projects as required.
Requirements:

- Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Successful candidates will have a DZ licence, a clean driving and CVOR.
- Demonstrable and proven team building skills with the ability to lead as a collaborative leader.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and good organizational skills are mandatory.
- Knowledge of MS Word and Excel and Outlook are a minimum requirement for this position.
- Familiarity with the London region and surrounding areas would be an asset.
- Must be available to work Saturdays as required.
