About the role
WQS Non-Destructive Testing (WQS NDT) is currently seeking an experienced NDE Technician to join our growing operations in British Columbia. Schedule Variable schedule based on operational requirements. Must be available to support call-out work, fabrication, projects, and turnaround activities. Additional Information When applying, please upload all applicable certifications under the "Additional Documents" section of the application portal. Successful candidates will be required to complete a WQS Performance Demonstration Qualification (PDQ). Successful candidates will also be required to complete applicable client pre-qualification requirements. Candidates must be local to the Lower Mainland to support operations in the Burnaby area. Willingness to travel throughout British Columbia and Western Canada for project and turnaround work is required. What You Will Bring CGSB certification in one or more of the following methods: MT, PT, UT Level I, or UT Level II. Experience as an ultrasonic scanning technician, including corrosion mapping, is considered a strong asset. Minimum three (3) years of practical NDT inspection experience. Demonstrated knowledge of NDT procedures, inspection techniques, and industry best practices. Pipeline integrity inspection experience is considered a strong asset. Additional certifications in RT, XRF, CWB, or other NDT methods are considered strong assets. Strong technical aptitude with a proven track record of delivering high-quality inspection services. Ability to maintain Fit for Duty status and comply with the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace, including alcohol and drug testing requirements. Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a current three-year driver's abstract. First Aid and Confined Space certifications are considered assets. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to continuous learning. Demonstrated commitment to safety, professionalism, and a best-in-class safety culture.
