What You’ll Do:
- Follow all facility “good manufacturing procedures”, and strict adherence to all safety requirements, inclusive of PPE needs
- Palletizing and Packaging within our Fluid and Ice Cream Department
- Maintain work area free of product spillage or presence of wet floor surfaces.
- Inspect filled container to ensure product is packaged according to specifications
- Check for leaks and other minor defects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor
- Inspect products received to identify leaks or other minor defects; segregate substandard/defective product for disposal/destruction and record information related to damaged/wasted product
- Provide general clean up and assistance in other areas of shipping/receiving; clean up includes sweeping, washing floors/walls, dumping of wasted product, picking up trash, etc.
- Work in a variety of temperatures (Freezer, Plant, Outside & Fridge areas)
What You Need to Get the Job Done:
- High School Diploma required or a combination of equivalent experience;
- Good verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with others;
- Ability to discuss issues in a constructive way with co-workers and Supervisor in a respectful, positive and collaborative manner;
- Eye/hand coordination is essential;
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks;
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye co-ordination;
- Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions (i.e. lifting up to 25kg);
- Must be reliable;
- Able to work as a team member.

About Kawartha Dairy Ltd
Kawartha Dairy has been making great family memories for over 85 years. We are proud to continue to be a 100% Canadian-owned company, still operated by the same family that founded it in 1937. Although the company has grown tremendously from its early days, it remains headquartered in the small lakeside Canadian town of Bobcaygeon where it was founded.
Today Kawartha Dairy operates 13 retail stores and services a wide range of customers, from grocery stores to food service establishments and of course, ice cream parlours. Fresh milk and fresh cream is received daily from local farms and the rich and creamy milk and ice cream are still made the traditional way.
