About the role
Role Impact: Cadillac Fairview’s Early Talent Rotational Program provides participants with coaching, accelerated learning and exciting work experience as they launch their commercial real estate career. Participants will gain hands-on experience in Operations Services, Property Management Retail and Property Management Office, while developing exceptional leadership capabilities, business acumen and industry knowledge.
About the Program:
- Participants will be placed in three 12-month customized roles to accelerate development, experience and skills in commercial real estate.
- Participants are paired with a senior coach to support them with accelerated leadership skill development throughout the program.
- Participants will be encouraged to build their brand through involvement with real estate industry associations and networking events.
- Exposure to Operations senior leadership team in social and work settings.
- Associates will start the program in June of 2026
What you will deliver: In the Office & Retail Property Management rotations, you will:
- Support a Capital Project, including tendering, managing scope, budget and timelines.
- Review and understand Consumer and Market Insight, Client Intelligence and Competitor Knowledge to identify emerging risks and opportunities.
- Participate in accounting processes to gain knowledge and understanding of recoverable/non-recoverable expense accounting, forecasting and accruals, revenue coordination, and reporting.
- Understand active municipal issues impacting property management. Outwardly engage with community partners (networking events, BIA, RealPAC, political/municipal).
- Participate in the property budgeting cycle and process.
In the Operations Services rotations, you will:
- Manage optimizing day-to-day property operations, facility performance, operating processes; and support deployment of strategic initiatives to drive operating efficiency and evolving client expectations and experiences across CF properties.
- Maintain property operations standards that ensure cost efficiency, consistency and CF Brand performance expectations.
- Collaborate with other departments on cross company initiatives, representing the “voice” of operations and providing operations subject matter expertise and information as needed.
- Participate in national programs that support day-to-day operations and continuous improvement of processes, including the contact centre, technology and business process support to property teams, and support for head office facilities.
- Support procurement and supplier management through contract management, onboarding, performance management, and strategic partnering.
We are looking for people who:
- Have a post-secondary education in business or a related discipline
- Are passionate about real estate and our client needs
- Are results oriented, and have demonstrated initiative and leadership skills
- Are able and eager to collaborate, consult and build strong relationships with others
Where you will go from here: Upon completion of the 3-year program, participants will move into a key role ( Property Management, or Operations Services) reflecting the accelerated skills and experiences gained in Property Management. Some potential graduating roles include, but are not limited to, Tenant Relations Manager, Project Manager, Senior Business Solutions Analyst, etc.
