About the role
$22.40 per hourOverview The Resort Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily activities of the housekeeping team to ensure the resort maintains high standards of cleanliness and organization. This role supervises housekeeping staff, monitors work to ensure facilities meet resort standards, supports team development, upholds policies, and assists with scheduling and supplies, all while fostering a positive and productive work environment.Job Duties
Ensures all areas meet resort cleanliness and quality standards through regular inspection. (Essential)
Manages and monitors cleaning supply orders to maintain adequate stock while adhering to budget guidelines. (Essential)
Obtains pricing, coordinates purchases, and schedules inventory restocks to ensure rental units are fully prepared for occupancy. (Essential)
Coordinates team member selection and development and ensures team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
Ensures all resort housekeeping operations and safety procedures are consistently followed in compliance with Sun's policies and procedures.
Responds to guests' inquiries and complaints regarding resort housekeeping in a timely and professional manner.
Other duties as assigned.
Fosters a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and accountability among the housekeeping team.
Communicates effectively with leadership and other departments to support smooth resort operations and enhance guest experiences.
Provides ongoing guidance, coaching, and support to housekeeping staff to foster team success.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
1 year in prior housekeeping experience, with hospitality industry experience preferred. (Required)
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Knowledge of general janitorial practices
Understanding of safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work effectively with team members and external partners
Ability to negotiate prices and contracts on behalf of the resort
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, email, and internet use
Must have a valid driver's license
