WORK YOU’LL DO As the VDI Technical Team Lead , you will serve as the onshore lead for the Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365 Cloud PC environment for one of Accenture’s major enterprise clients. You will guide a team of VDI specialists (onshore/offshore), act as the primary technical point of contact, and ensure a highly reliable and optimized virtual desktop experience.
You will design, implement, and operate AVD and Cloud PC solutions using Azure-native capabilities and Nerdio Manager for Enterprise. You’ll ensure consistent image management, application delivery, scaling efficiency, performance monitoring, and continuous improvements across the VDI estate. You’ll represent the VDI team during incident calls, lead root-cause analysis efforts, and be accountable for maintaining stability in a high-paced, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities: Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) & Platform Operations- Lead the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of AVD host pools, workspaces, application groups, and scaling plans.

Oversee session host provisioning, image creation, image optimization, and Azure Compute Gallery versioning.

Manage FSLogix profiles leveraging Azure Files / ANF.

Configure redirection policies (printing, clipboard, Teams A/V optimization, drive redirection).

Monitor system performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, AVD Insights, and Nerdio dashboards.

Ensure secure and resilient operations through DR execution, operational readiness, and best practices. Windows 365 Cloud PC- Create and manage provisioning policies, dynamic groups, custom images, and role-based access.

Monitor licensing, performance, and connectivity for Cloud PC fleets.

Optimize user experience and endpoint configuration using Intune. Nerdio Manager for Enterprise- Manage AVD automation, scripted actions, image lifecycle, and cost optimization.

Optimize scaling behavior and operational workflows through Nerdio-based automation.

Support application and device management supported through the Nerdio platform. Application & Image Delivery- Coordinate packaging and deployment of applications using SCCM and Intune, and oversee MSIX/AppAttach and Nerdio workflows.

Coordinate and support UAT cycles for image and application updates.

Install and validate middleware components (VC++, Java, .NET, etc.). Operations, Incident Management & RCA- Act as the primary onshore escalation point for incidents (including periodic 24/7 availability).

Provide detailed, high-quality root-cause analyses for operational issues.

Collaborate with Network, Azure, Security, and Operations teams to resolve complex cross-platform issues. Leadership & Stakeholder Management- Manage, coach, and mentor a team of VDI specialists across onshore/offshore locations.

Drive operational excellence and enforce governance and quality.

Communicate clearly with stakeholders, delivering status updates, design decisions, incident reports, and performance insights.

Help shape persona-based service tiers, capacity planning, and quarterly optimization reviews. Who We’re Looking For- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in a related discipline

Minimum 5 years of experience architecting, supporting, or leading enterprise VDI environments.

Deep hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 Cloud PC.

Experience managing FSLogix, Azure Files/ANF, multi-session Windows 11, and image lifecycle workflows.

Experience with Intune or SCCM application delivery (Win32, MSIX, AppAttach).

Strong understanding of Azure networking fundamentals and identity (AD/Entra ID).

Demonstrated ability to lead teams in fast-paced enterprise environments.
