Job Description

As the Manager of Catering Sales, you will drive the success of our catering operations across Scotiabank Arena, Real Sports, and e11even. Your primary focus will be on achieving departmental sales goals and maximizing revenue by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and contributing to innovative revenue-generating initiatives. Your strategic approach and leadership will be vital in enhancing our brand visibility and ensuring exceptional client experiences.

  • Identify and target new market opportunities to drive catering revenues and enhance brand visibility.
  • Manage incoming catering sales inquiries, including contract negotiations, Banquet Event Orders, and coordination of logistics.
  • Develop and maintain a robust database of clientele, focusing on relationship management and retention strategies.
  • Develop and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies, including promotional campaigns and digital outreach.
  • Attend and represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to foster new business relationships.
  • Organize, attend, and support internal and external client events, including site visits, tastings, and luncheons.
  • Evaluate and ensure the fulfillment of contractual commitments with corporate partners and sponsors, maintaining high standards of service delivery.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams, including culinary, operations, and marketing, to ensure seamless execution of catering events.
  • Lead internal event management efforts, providing strategic input and oversight to ensure successful execution.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive sales forecasting and reporting system to track performance and identify areas for growth. Participate in special projects and undertake additional responsibilities as needed to support overall business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of successful sales experience in catering or hospitality, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in business development , including prospecting, lead generation, and closing new accounts.
  • Strong understanding of the catering and events industry, including market trends and customer preferences.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse clientele.
  • Highly organized with the capability to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement effective sales strategies and marketing initiatives.
  • A proactive and energetic approach, with a strong commitment to client satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, particularly during peak event times.
