LMS Coordinator

Full-Time Contract Position – 1 year term, intention to convert to permanent in early 2026

Position Overview

Reporting to the Director, Education Development, the LMS Coordinator supports the delivery and design of online learning assets and the Learning Management Systems (LMS) used by the FP Canada Institute. With a background in online learning and education administration, the LMS Coordinator supports the strategic priorities of the FP Canada Institute by administering the online offerings and platform by which the Institute provides education to help elevate the practice of financial planning across Canada.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Perform key administrative functions to support the delivery of Institute courses and programs.
  • Support the end-to-end management of the Learning Management System, including AODA compliance, system administration, security settings, user management, course uploads and updates, and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders regarding LMS operations, providing guidance, training and troubleshooting support, including the smooth implementation of LMS upgrades in collaboration with the vendor.
  • Support the development and documentation of LMS policies, standards, and processes to optimize efficiency, ensure consistency, and enhance the student learning experience.
  • Coordinate with the LMS Manager and Instructional Designer, support the implementation of new continuing education offerings and the maintenance of pre-certification education programs, by building new courses in the LMS and deploying updates to existing programs, performing comprehensive technical testing of course components to ensure readiness for deployment, as well as alignment with industry standards and technological advancements.
  • Support content management processes by maintaining version control, ensuring data integrity, and organizing digital assets for streamlined access and updates.
  • Support the reporting and analysis of LMS data and student engagement metrics to identify trends, measure learning effectiveness, and develop insights that drive program enhancements and strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to the quality assurance of online content and assets, proactively identifying and resolving issues and incorporating student feedback and course data to improve offerings.
  • Collaborate with the development and delivery team on the implementation of new tools, technologies, and processes that enhance product quality, improve the student experience, and increase operational efficiencies. Provide ongoing support for online course design and delivery, troubleshooting technical issues, and advising on best practices for creating a seamless learning experience.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in various internal and cross-departmental projects and initiatives to improve efficiency and enhance user experience.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • Certificate in adult learning or instructional design and professional designation such as CTDP (Certified Training and Development Professional) are considered an asset.
  • 3+ years performing administrative tasks and coordinating initiatives related to eLearning.
  • Proven experience building AODA-compliant content and managing an LMS, including user administration, reporting, and course management (D2L/Brightspace experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with eLearning development tools, such as Articulate Storyline 360, Rise, Vimeo, and Synthesia, as well as Microsoft applications.
  • Knowledge of SCORM, xAPI, and AICC standards for eLearning development and LMS integration.
  • Technical proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Javascript for minor course customizations and troubleshooting is considered an asset.
  • Attention to detail and process-focused with strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Salary

Salary based on experience ranging from $60,000 - $70,000
