Richardson Milling, a division of Richardson International, is the largest industrial oat miller in the world. Richardson has processing mills in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. and is proud to have the most extensive oat supply thanks to strong relationships with oat growers.
Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Production Worker (Packaging Operator) at our Barrhead, Alberta location. This position is responsible for operating the packaging system to ensure finished products are packed, sealed, and prepared for shipping according to product specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Operate packaging equipment.
- Operate forklift.
- Perform minor repairs and troubleshooting activities on packaging equipment.
- Provides sanitation services to all areas of the facility as assigned.
- Accurately complete documentation for all processes.
- Perform quality and food safety checks of finished goods and equipment.
- Operates in accordance with all food safety, safety, and fire prevention regulations and practices.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Computer knowledge an asset.
- Experience operating mobile equipment considered an asset.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to work well as part of a team.
- Solid oral and written communication skills.
