WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Lead the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements, management reports, and external reporting deliverables.

Oversee the preparation of interim and annual financial statements, notes disclosures, Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A), and Offering Memorandums.

Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Evaluate and interpret new accounting standards; assess implications and drive implementation of required changes.

Develop, enhance and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting Operations, FP&A, Tax, and other departments to align financial reporting with business strategy.

Drive process improvements, automation, and best practices to increase efficiency and scalability in reporting.

Collaborate and manage external audits, serving as the primary liaison with auditors.

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing financial reporting team while providing technical accounting guidance and training across the broader finance team.

Support strategic projects, including acquisitions, integrations, and system implementations.
WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
-
CPA designation (or international equivalent) required.
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-
8+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, public accounting, or technical accounting preferably within the real estate industry.

Strong knowledge of IFRS, including expertise in consolidations, complex financial instruments, and equity structures.

Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing high-performing teams.

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
-
Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.

Proficient in ERP systems and financial reporting tools; experience with Yardi and/or Workiva is a strong asset.

Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and leverage technology for reporting and automation.
