Job Description:

The Boiler and Machinery Regional Manager will have responsibility for managing and coordinating the day-to-day operational performance of multiple field functions/ projects for the market.

This position is responsible for ensuring equal opportunity in employment in that all people are treated equally and based on merit, in decisions regarding selection, placement, promotions, training, work assignments, transfers and other personnel actions.

Position responsibilities include the following (but are not limited to):

  • Manage ON and QC based inspectors.
  • Act as technical expert for inspection work done in ON and QC to include being the liaison between BV I&I and the TSSA and RBQ.
  • Assign and track all inspection work assignments.
  • Perform QC on all submitted inspection work and ensure upload by assigned administrative staff.
  • Assist in the quoting of potential contracts and act as the SME on sales calls with current and potential clients.
  • Manage the staffing, safety and training of current and future staff and assist in training on Jurisdiction Online and BV systems.
  • Provide director with monthly revenue estimates and forecast future revenue for budgeting purposes.
  • Monitor region’s productivity and ensure it aligns with budgetary financial goals.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years experience as a manager working with national accounts with a focus on Jurisdictional Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspection account management.
  • 5-10 years experience with fiscal management, reporting and financial forecasting and modeling.
  • Effective mediator of conflicts between peers, direct reports, and clients.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively motivate and influence others.
  • Demonstrated skills in teamwork and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with Microsoft Access is desired.
  • Must have an active In-Service inspector National Board commission or equivalent.
  • High school diploma
