Your job
- Oversee governance and corporate secretariat duties for certain subsidiaries, including maintaining minute books and coordinating board and committee meetings.
- Define and implement governance mechanisms tailored to the structure of each subsidiary.
- Lead the entity management system and structure transactional or internal reorganization projects.
- Coordinate legal matters related to subsidiaries, investments, and international offices.
- Provide strategic legal advice on subsidiary activities and operations.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in governance and corporate law.
Your team
Within the Legal Affairs sector, you’ll be part of a large team of colleagues and report to the Senior Director, Governance and Investments. Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in law and membership in good standing with the Bar of Quebec, Ontario, New York State, or the Chambre des notaires du Québec.
- Between 7 and 10 years of relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate law and governance.
Languages:
English, French
Reason to require this language: you will need to collaborate with a regulator/authority/government body outside Quebec.
