Job Purpose And Summary This Financial Accountant will support the General Accounting team to ensure the timely and accurate month-end close and financial reporting. The role will assume accounting responsibilities surrounding a number of areas within THP that will include cash monitoring, account reconciliations, and other general accounting requirements.

Key Areas Of Focus Accounting responsibility for processing month-end journal entries and reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, liaising with relevant external parties, department counterparts and leads, and assisting where required

Specific Accountabilities Processes journal entries for responsible areas and supports the month-end close process

Completes monthly balance sheet account reconciliations accurately and timely reflecting the financial position of the organization and highlight potential exposures

Participates in month end and year end close activities including external audit support

Key Qualifications A minimum 3 to 5 years of related progressive experience preferred

Education – college or university designation with Intermediate accounting courses completed Working knowledge of Meditech financial modules preferred

Demonstrated experience applying Financial Accounting best practices

Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills combined with excellent organizational and, analytical and attention to detail

Computer skills, including MS Outlook, MS Office – Word, Excel (pivot tables) , PowerPoint, Internet based programs and Meditech
