Hypertec is seeking a Industrial Engineering Specialist to join our team in Montreal for a 3 month contract.

What You’ll Be Contributing
- Lead industrial engineering studies, including time studies, task balancing, work measurement, and capacity modeling to support new product introductions and continuous improvement;
- Design and optimize workstation layouts, production flows, and manufacturing cells with a focus on efficiency, ergonomics, and scalability;
- Analyze operational data, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements using lean methodologies and structured problem-solving;
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives including Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and cost reduction projects;
- Define and maintain labor standards, task times, and manpower models to support planning and operational decision-making;
- Contribute to the creation of visual management tools, KPI dashboards, and standard work documentation in support of data-driven performance reviews;
- Assist with validation activities and support new process deployment through modeling, simulations, or time-based scenarios;
- Collaborate with documentation, methods, and training teams to ensure process changes are reflected accurately in visual aids and learning modules;
- Support 5S, tool management, and ergonomic assessments across production areas.
What Sets You Apart
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related field;
- Expertise in industrial engineering practices, lean implementation, and time/motion analysis;
- Proficiency in capacity planning, process simulation, and workflow optimization;
- Strong collaboration skills to partner with engineering, quality, and operations teams;
- Experience with layout/design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Visio;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); experience with Power BI is an asset.
