The Role As a Picker / Packer, you will provide exceptional customer service to our customers by picking, packaging, and shipping orders with accuracy and efficiency.
This position will work Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with flexibility to work alternative hours, as required by business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing paperwork for shipments, efficiently and accurately process, allocate and ship all customer orders and transfers
- Pick orders on an order picker using pick tickets
- Package orders and ensure they are complete, accurate, and ready for delivery
- Assist in stocking shelves and organizing the warehouse
- Excellent computer skills for shipping systems.
- Ability to work well with others with little or no supervision
- Communicating any issues, questions or concerns clearly and in a timely manner to supervisors/managers.
- Assisting with inventory counts and management
- Inspect machinery before use to ensure it is working properly
- Ensure full compliance with all operating, sanitation, and safety standards
Skills & Experiences
- Experience in a shipping/receiving warehouse environment, with previous experience/certification operating a powered vehicle (Forklift, Walkie Rider, Reach Truck, etc.) an asset
- Proven experience working with computerized shipping systems, with working knowledge of FedEx, UPS and Purolator shipping software an asset
- Able to work within tight deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
- Working environment requires standing for extended periods of time and lifting of up to 50 lbs
