CNC Supervisor

Reporting directly to the Production Manager. The CNC Supervisor will manage and direct the day-to-day operations and tasks in the CNC Department to make sure all goals and deadlines are met. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Education

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Technology is preferred.

Years of Experience

• 3+ Years of CNC Machine Operating (Mecal Machinery) is considered an asset; and
• Experience in CamPlus is considered an asset.

Working Conditions

• Work may involve some exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and loud noises; and
• Work environment requires having construction safety footwear, safety glasses and hearing protection.

Job Specific Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering plans to develop and design projects;
• Loading, scheduling and updating any missing items;
• Knowledge of industry safety practices;
• Ability to read blueprints and recognize symbols and specifications;
• Loading, running and modifying existing CNC programs;
• Complete "first-off" inspection per component drawings;
• Ensure identification process for components is followed;
• Maintain equipment, general housekeeping and determine if repairs or new equipment is needed; and
• Completion of fabrication in accordance with existing time standards.
