About The Role

Roy Foss Thornhillis looking for an experienced Parts Consultant to join our team. In this role, you’ll be the key resource for both customers and service technicians when it comes to automotive parts and accessories. In this role, you’ll help keep our parts department running smoothly by supporting the service team and guiding customers to the right products for their needs.

What We're Looking For

  • Efficiently help customers select parts and provide internal and external customers (retail and shop) with high quality service; identifying and ordering the correct parts

  • Answer telephone calls, provide price quotes any other information needed

  • Take orders for parts by telephone, technician counter, retail counter and wholesale accounts

  • Receive payments from retail customers

  • Handle customer concerns immediately and according to the dealerships guidelines.

  • Stock items by unpacking, arranging, and placing items in bins and on shelves; adjusting inventory system and assuring all safety risks

  • Manage inventory and maintain stock levels

  • Other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager

What You'll Bring

  • At least 2-3 year of Automotive Parts experience

  • Experience using a DMS – Reynolds and Reynolds in particular is an asset

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an upbeat and engaging attitude

  • Strong verbal communication and writing skills

  • Organized with a strong attention to detail

  • Ability to follow set and standard procedures

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task

  • Ability to work independently and take self-initiative

  • Basic computer skills and a comfort with learning new software and systems

  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and technical/mechanical repairs

  • This role requires availability on Saturdays as part of the regular work schedule. Flexibility on weekends is essential to meet business and customer needs.
