POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a strong Financial Analyst who is detail-oriented and analytical to support the treasury operations, financial reporting, and the establishment and ongoing administration of a corporate credit card program. This role will play a key part in building the framework for the program, monitoring activity, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and controls.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the implementation of the corporate credit card program, including helping design processes, controls, and policies Administer the credit card program on an ongoing basis, including monitoring transaction activity, fees, chargebacks, and compliance with the organization’s expense policy Review credit card users and proactively monitor spend activity to ensure appropriate usage and policy adherence Contribute to credit card policy development, documentation, and staff training Prepare and record investment-related accounting entries (e.g., GICs, interest income, and related accruals) and support investment tracking Support monthly reporting, including cash flow reporting, reconciliations, and journal entries Monitor bank activity, including account movements and interest rate changes Process and manage EFTs, wires, and other payment activities, as required Assist with interbank transfers and preparation of committee reporting materials
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience working within a Finance department establishing processes and controls High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy, governance, and internal controls Solid understanding of reconciliations, cash flow management, and financial transaction processes Advanced Excel and data handling capabilities Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Clear and effective communication skills for working with stakeholders across the organization Self-starter with the ability to operate independently and drive initiatives forward High degree of integrity and accountability in handling financial data Experience in the not-for-profit (NFP) sector is preferred Progress toward a CPA designation (or intention to pursue)
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Fast-paced, service and results oriented environment May have some activity outside of the office to support meetings The Foundation has a hybrid work model. Staff will be required to be in office a minimum of 2 days per week and will be required to have a safe home office set up for the remainder of the working days (specifics to be planned with your manager). Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues in all positions throughout the Foundation Shared commitment and support of the overall Foundation goals
