Position Summary
This is a full-time position with CMHA Niagara reporting to the Director of Clinical Operations.
CMHA Niagara, with a current staff complement of over 120 employees, provides a wide range of mental health and addictions services including case management, counselling and treatment, crisis beds and support line, employment, housing, justice, mobile outreach, and information and training. Continuous growth and change in the mental health sector and for our Branch requires an incumbent who can thrive in an environment that can be volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous. We are seeking an individual who can maintain an effective balance between building strong working relationships while delivering on operational objectives. The successful candidate will be familiar with working from a trauma-informed lens and within the Recovery philosophy.
The Clinical Manager is responsible for all clinical aspects of assigned programs including leadership, clinical supervision, recommendations for training and development needs, day-to-day service operations, performance management, structure enhancement, orientation, and on-call responsibilities. The incumbent will work with other members of the Clinical Leadership team, staff, clients and other service providers, as an important link to ensure access to quality services in the mental health and addictions system for clients and their families.

Essential Job Requirements

Master’s degree in Social Work, Nursing, or other relevant area of study is preferred. Other degrees will be considered with relevant skills and experience in clinical management

Registration with a regulatory body in good standing and adhering to all standards of practice is required
-
Minimum of 5 years of experience in community mental health and addictions in a management or development role is required
-
Experience with clinical supervision and quality improvement is an asset
-
Knowledge
-
Knowledge of the unique circumstances of persons with mental health and addiction challenges and disabilities, concurrent disorders and other comorbidities
-
Certified in the following safety courses: Crisis Intervention (i.e. NVCI, Safety Care, CPI or Safe Management), Standard First Aid – CPR C - AED, and Suicide Prevention (ASIST)

Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check)
-
Access to a reliable personal vehicle

Current valid Class ‘G’ driver’s license

Personal cell phone for business use

Bilingualism, particularly proficiency in French, would be considered a valuable asset
Preferred candidates will be asked to complete an emotional intelligence inventory assessment. Language skills will be tested if applicable.
