Position Type: Volunteer - Part-Time
Hours of Work: Variable - Monday through Sunday, days and evenings (closed Tuesdays) – Holidays, as required
Location: Orono, Ontario
Reporting to: On-Hill Snow School Supervisor and Snow School Manager
Start Date: January 2026 (Training may begin December 2025)
At Brimacombe ski area we don’t just offer skiing and snowboarding, we offer a place for all ages to get outside, enjoy the fresh air and create unforgettable family experiences! We are currently seeking outgoing, customer-focused volunteers to help us turn everyday visits into wonderful winter memories.
As a Volunteer in our Snow School department you help create the energy and excitement around skiing and snowboarding. You contribute to the creation of unforgettable customer experiences and assist in developing our guests' lifelong passion for winter sports.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to instructors with lessons and programs, in line with Brimacombe standards and protocol
- Attend volunteer orientation/training sessions, as required, to improve skiing/riding, learn about the facility and build basic skills surrounding customer service and instruction.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and fun learning environment for participants
- Maintain excellent time management and verbal communication skills
- Ensure high-level customer service, consistent with Brimacombe standards
- Ready to take on any challenge and help when needed
Qualifications
- 13 years of age or older
- Strong communication skills
- Outgoing
- Enjoy working with people, especially children
- Passionate about winter and winter sport(s)
- Strong skier and/or snowboarder (approximately Level 5 or equivalent)
Training Requirements Successful applicants will be required to attend pre-season volunteer orientation/training, as well as an on-hill session. Dates to be determined. Volunteer may also be invited to join instructor training sessions throughout the season.

- Volunteer hours will begin in January, dependant on weather, start up and agreed upon availability of applicant.
