Senior Business Analyst – Client Engagement & Derivatives Migration Location: 4 days a week in office Duration: Contract – 1 year with possible extension
The Opportunity Robertson is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a large-scale transformation initiative involving the migration of derivative trade instruction and reporting processes to a new operating model. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, investment managers, business stakeholders, operations, technology, and testing teams to ensure a successful migration. This is a highly client-facing role requiring strong stakeholder management, communication, and business analysis skills within a capital markets environment.
Responsibilities: Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management Lead discussions with clients and investment managers to communicate migration activities, impacts, timelines, and requirements. Act as a primary point of contact throughout the migration lifecycle. Partner with internal stakeholders to obtain approvals, address inquiries, and coordinate client activities. Document and track client feedback, questions, risks, and action items. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and investment managers, ensuring a positive experience throughout the migration process.
Business Analysis & Project Support Collaborate with business, operations, technology, and project teams to support successful delivery of the initiative. Maintain project documentation, status trackers, action logs, and client transition materials. Assist with the development of transition guides, FAQs, and communication materials. Support the Project Manager and act as a workstream lead when required.
Testing & Migration Readiness Coordinate the collection and validation of sample trade files from clients and investment managers. Ensure all required testing scenarios are identified and executed. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and facilitate communication between clients and internal testing teams. Monitor testing progress and assist with issue resolution.
Training & Post-Implementation Support Coordinate training and readiness activities. Ensure clients have appropriate system access and understand new processes and reporting requirements. Provide post-implementation support and escalate issues where necessary.
Experience 10+ years of Business Analysis experience within Capital Markets or Financial Services environments. Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale transformation, platform migration, or operating model change initiatives. Proven experience working with Exchange-Traded Derivatives (ETD) and Over-The-Counter (OTC) derivative products and related operational workflows. Extensive experience partnering with institutional clients, investment managers, and senior stakeholders throughout complex transformation and migration initiatives.
Must-Have Qualifications The following requirements are mandatory. Candidates must possess all of the qualifications below to be considered: Proven experience working directly with clients in a highly client-facing Business Analyst capacity. Hands-on experience supporting system-to-system migration projects. Strong understanding of Exchange-Traded Derivatives (ETD) and Over-The-Counter (OTC) derivative products. Experience supporting large-scale transformation and platform migration initiatives. Experience coordinating testing, training, change management, and stakeholder engagement activities. Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and relationship management skills. Ability to work effectively across business, operations, technology, and project teams. Experience working within Capital Markets, Investment Operations, Custody Services, or Institutional Banking environments. PMP, CBAP, or related Business Analysis/Project Management certification.
Please note: Experience with system-to-system migrations, large-scale transformation programs, client engagement, and knowledge of ETD and OTC derivatives are essential requirements for this role.
Nice to Have Bilingual (English/French). Knowledge of trade processing, trade instruction management, and client reporting workflows.
